John is a co-founder of Pelagos Capital Management, LLC and its Chief Investment Officer. John has over twenty-four years of global market experience highlighted by management of a Morningstar 4-Star fund as well as small and mid-cap equity portfolios. John has extensive analytic experience in the energy, materials and financial sectors. John has also managed growth and value equity strategies. Since 2000, John has worked closely with Stephen P. Burke, both at State Street Global Advisors and Pelagos Capital Management, LLC. John earned a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from the University of Tampa. John holds the CFA designation.
