ISM is survey throughout March not fully capturing 2nd half lockdown

ISM Manufacturing PMI for March at 49.1 down from 50.1 in February but the survey would not have fully reflected the shutdown in the second half of the month. The survey is sent early in the month and received back throughout the month, "with the majority of respondents generally waiting until late in month to submit responses...". The company Fastenal, an industrial and construction supplies wholesaler and retailer, reports monthly sales. The Company reports early in the quarter on April 14. They have historically been very transparent with operating data. The chart shows daily sales and YoY growth. The report could provide some good hard data for March manufacturing.
